Based in Brussels since 2009, I have worked with the European Union, Germany and France in security and defence cooperation with Asia and the Indo-Pacific, the World Health Organization in Geneva and Copenhagen, the Commonwealth Secretariat in London, China Radio International in Beijing, MediaCorp Press in Singapore, as a freelance correspondent for NDTV, and as a reporter for The Indian Express Newspapers in Pune, India. On ESIWA+, I grew the programme's social following and online impressions five-fold in two years.
I founded Confluence Allstars in 2015, a platform building bridges between India and Europe through music, and launched the Brussels Bollywood Choir. This earned me recognition as a EuropeIndia40 Leader in the Class of 2022.
Eternally curious, I have honed my emotional intelligence and editorial judgement through projects making quality cross-cultural information accessible to the masses. As a translator and voiceover artist, I have contributed to the GeoHistory YouTube channel, which now has over 1 million subscribers.

2003
Master's in International Journalism (Broadcast) at the University of Westminster, London.
2005
Sub-editor and writer at MediaCorp's Today newspaper in Singapore.
2006
Web and communications consultant at the Commonwealth Secretariat in London, chosen from the Commonwealth's Asia region of eight countries; the first intern to work as a communications officer.
2008
Joins China Radio International's English service in Beijing, the first Indian hired there in the network's sixty-year history, and strings for NDTV during the Beijing Olympics. Starts his independent practice, Rahul Venkit Multimedia.
2009
Moves to Brussels as Multimedia Manager at the International Diabetes Federation.
2011
Joins Xinhua News Agency's European bureau as senior copy-editor and multimedia journalist, the first Indian national hired by Xinhua Europe, for seven years.
2015
Founds Confluence Allstars, a platform bringing Indian and European musicians together in Brussels. Takes his first assignment with the World Health Organization's Global Influenza Programme.
2016
Reports live for NDTV from the Brussels terror attacks and, separately, from the attempted coup in Turkey. Becomes Multimedia Editor-in-Chief at TopHotelProjects in Hamburg.
2020
Joins FIPRA Public Affairs in Brussels; promoted to Communications & Marketing Director within four months.
2022
Begins a series of three WHO Europe contracts for the Health Emergencies Programme. Named to the EuropeIndia40 Leaders list, Class of 2022, by the Europe India Centre for Business & Industry.
2023
Becomes Communications & Visibility Expert on ESIWA+, the EU's security cooperation programme with Asia and the Indo-Pacific. BRUZZ profiles him as founder of the Brussels Bollywood Choir.
2026
Appears on Euronews, The European Correspondent and The Watcher Post EU on the EU-India trade agreement. Featured by EICBI as a EuropeIndia40 alumnus.
